Mm, not a fan of this. www.nbcnews.com/business/med...
Talk about shrinkflation.
DMV. The great equalizer.
Out shooting on Sesame Street today.
You know what’s a great way to learn about film? Books!
Hah. Yes it should. That’s Barney.
I bought a gimbal. I’m hardcore now.
Just picked this up. One of Brad Pitt’s earliest film roles. Like many future stars, helped get his start in the horror genre.
Tapes, man. Tapes.
Great question! Payment with Nebula is complicated. As far as views there goes, I get next to nothing. However, if enough people subscribe and watch, that can change. So I do actively encourage it. To put it simply, if everyone who watches me on YT watched me on Nebula instead, things would great.
Went to see The Long Walk last night. 4th highest rated Stephen King adaptation of all time. I love such a simple premise. But damn if I wasn’t curious about the greater context/repercussions of this world. A lot of folks in the theater left vocally unsatisfied. But maybe, weirdly, that’s the point?
This little buddy keeps showing up in my office. His name is Zula and he’s a katydid.
If just one person who wouldn’t have watched it decides to watch it, then I’d say making the video was worth it.
New video out: the first Rambo movie and why everyone who hasn’t seen it misunderstands it.

In my neighborhood on my walk last night……
Gah, how fantastic!
I ran this poll on the channel the other day, and found the results pretty interesting. That’s a remarkably even divide—granted I don’t know what the age breakdown is.
Thanks for watching it! And yeah, strictly speaking, it is an 80s action movie. But just by virtue of being ‘81 and the birth of a genre, it had nothing it needed to compare itself against.
I was born 30 years ago today. And I don’t think I’ve changed one bit. This is still pretty me every day workin’.
Nebula approved my pitch for a limited exclusive essay series I’ve been wanting to develop for awhile. I’ll keep y’all updated on that, but I’m hoping to push the boundaries of the traditional video essay format with it, at least a little bit. And if it’s successful, even moreso with a season 2.
Thing about one’s birthday coming up is that every few years it means time to renew your drivers license... Up bright and early today to get to that sweet, sweet DMV appointment.
The hardest part of my job is probably recording. Especially in NYC. Between the noise and the humidity, I’m stuck in a closet until 2 in the morning sweating my hair off, hearing my voice grow increasingly more exhausted hoping for a solid take. But then I wake up (at noon) so relieved it’s done.
Time to go to work.
Oof. I have to finish this video script by the end of the day. I’m SO close. And I just. Can’t. Get. Myself. To keep going. Blehhhhhhh. Damn Fridays.
The types of BS blast emails I get all the time. Like, are you negging me right now?
What ChatGBT thinks of my video titles.
Oh I have, just not in years. It’s one of the key pillars of my concept. Him having acted across from so many legends, and no one these days knowing who he is. Granted, yes, it will largely be on his brilliant portrayal on L&O. I’ve the box sets of all his seasons (bc it’s the only way to watch em).
Oh, don’t I know it! I’ve had a video on Michael Moriarty planned out from the inception of this channel. Just a matter of time.
Wrapping up work on my First Blood video that’ll come out in a few weeks. It somehow ended up at 14 minutes AND I couldn’t say all I wanted to say. So expect a part 2 shortly after. That’s the thing about classics.
