Q: why are you the only person saying Iran got hold of a Tomahawk and bombed the school themselves?
A: because I don’t know much about it

Oh good, question time. First Q: have you talked to Putin?

Oh god grandpa is rambling on the radio again.

Joe for a boy, after all this reminiscing about (great)grandpa.

Susan/Suzie for a girl (after old Joe’s wife, but Nana Susan will think it’s for her).

It was explained to me that the small intestines take offense at the intrusion and go to sleep. If it’s so common, you’d think someone would have invented a solution: bathe them in inert gas, ice/heat them, inject a β€œwake-up” drug before closing. I dunno, Not A Medical Professional, but πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Generally speaking, I agree, though Wensleydale with cranberries is acceptable on a cheese plate. Absolutely *no* bits in cheese in a cheese and pickle sandwich! That said, I came across an Irish cheddar with porter (?) that made a good substitute when I ran out of pickle.

β€œOnly” had the tube for 3 days - a friend’s father had one for 3 weeks 😳. The prep was for sigmoid surgery, and the tube for the uncommon* side effect of ileus.

*or quite common, or very common, or not unexpected, depending on who’s talking. Not mentioned as a possibility pre-surgery though πŸ˜’

Hell, *anyone* who orders a bowel prep should have done one themselves. β€œGoLightly” is like drinking a gallon of soap. The SuTab pills have the same effect, but at least you are spared the soap.
Same goes for anyone ordering an N/G tube. Misery.
(Just experienced both in one week πŸ™)

Maybe? He and Helen were really good friends. I dunno, I had only just returned to Ambridge and I’ve subsequently been told that was unlikely.
The Harry I’m thinking of was on a road trip with Jazzer and others on R4Extra when he suddenly realized he was gay and disappeared with an old flame.

Hiding behind the fig leaf of Israel launching the first strike; like the schoolyard bully egging on a fight then being all injured innocence when the fists start flying.

Also annoying that he doesn’t know how to fold a pocket square - he’s using it to fake medal ribbons

A friend of my sister started this campaign. I reckon there must be enough overseas #TheArchers listeners alone to make this happen!

Hey, CJC, keep on commenting. As a Canadian, I am always glad to hear from our *friends* in the US (full disclosure - currently live in PNW).

@thatllbuffout.bsky.social , give the guy a break: he apologized, you just come off as a bully after your second post. No need to go all Xwitter on him.

Put another way, the British version is β€œyou’re not the boss of me!”, and the US version is β€œI don’t mind treating you like my boss.”

25.02.2026 16:28 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Good point. You’d think the rebellious Americans would be less deferential and the downtrodden Brits more so πŸ€”

Maybe it’s because, after casting off the yoke of imperialism, USians still want to be deferential to someone; while Brits still feel yoked?

Discuss.
