This is not to defend anything else about the show, just that there are contemporary themes in it that are the complete opposite of what you'd expect based on in the current political climate.
They made a whole episode about entering a contest to create a new source of fuel that doesn't pollute and will get the US away from dependency on foreign oil. It was considered to be a very patriotic thing. m.imdb.com/title/tt0567...
The entire premise of the Dukes of Hazzard was about some farm boys getting constantly harassed by the law. Almost every cop was portrayed as bumbling fool and getting one over on them was the highlight of the episode. This guy makes excellent points in his video about exactly that kind of thing.

I haven't played any of the GTA games though my husband has and I do remember liking CJ as well as Franklin and Trevor (the latter for the sheer chaos) in GTA V.

I think he's saying that Iran won't be attacking anyone else in the ME but has not surrendered to the US or Israel who will still be bombing them. I don't think there is any kind of coherent strategy going on here though.
