My family saw it on Christmas Day the year it came out and my very proper mother, who, like me, loved the book, declared loudly when the lights came up at the end, “Stanley Kubrick’s a jerk!”

1st Christmas in 30 years with no kids in the house. Yet @daisytich still woke us up yesterday morning with a FaceTime call and @quincetagram checked in from his honeymoon on the other side of the world. Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day to you and your family, wherever you/they are!

Losing loved ones at the holidays sucks. My Dad died 10yrs ago today and 2 days ago we lost Pat Finn, the funniest and kindest actor in the history of the biz. He and Dee Second City’d together and he was like family to all who knew him. Sending love to his actual family and his MANY friends.

He was the best, as are you, my friend. Yes, there can be two bests.
