I tried knitting two sleeves at the same time for the first time ever and my review is now in: I HATED IT. It took forever to knit a couple of cms and the yarn got soooo tangled. And surely it's partly because I haven't done it before but oh boy def not going to try again any time soon!
Totally missed this post that my wife made almost two weeks ago and had a VERY HEARTY LAUGH just now. JUST A GUY
Louisa was finally able to watch The Hammarskjรถld movie with English subs, and can I just say: I am such a massive fan of that guy. Really reminds me of why, when I was a teen, my dream was to win a Nobel Peace Prize. What an inspiration Dag Hammarskjรถld was and should still be. ๐
"He doesn't look too proud of himself after that run! BUT WE ARE PROUD OF HIM! WE RESPECT HIM!!!! YOU GO DUDE, what a FLAWLESS show of nose butter RIGHT THERE! Best I've seen ALL SEASON!!!"
Ice dance commentator: Hmm, a bit slow on that spin. I'm not seeing as clean edges as I'd like...
Men's freestyle skiing big air commentator: HOLY GUACAMOLE! This guy here is one of the NICEST GUYS you'll EVER MEET and he has made HISTORY with that LEGENDARY CORK FIVE SPIN!!!! what a GUY!!!

Happy lunar new year! ๐งง๐ฎ๐
A mannequin wearing a black silk dress with short sleeves. It is printed with a large red and cream rearing horse motif along one side of the dress, a 1940s design by Gilbert Adrian
Happy Lunar New Year! It is the year of the fire horse and so Gilbert Adrianโs 1945 Roan Stallion dress seems appropriately flame like as it rampages across the surface of black silk @metmuseum.org #FashionHistory ๐๏ธ๐ชก
Curling anime when???????
A male red-tailed black cockatoo.
Sunset Strip, New South Wales.
Oh, it's totally unexpected!
After thinking about it for a hot second we also realised that if our romantic lead were a Finn, he would be played by a Swede, and he would say approximately one line of dialogue in Finnish pronounced so horribly that no Finn could possibly recognise it.
We speak from bitter experience.
I'll never get over this! New dream just dropped and it's rummaging through some estate sale and finding this lot. ๐
I still can't believe it! We spent the entire title sequence just screaming. Sooooo goooood.
If any of you ever see ANY of those handkerchiefs being auctioned, let me know. I wish they are still around!
We watched My Favourite Wife (1940) and it was great! But also the credits in the beginning were HAND-EMBROIDERED NAPKINS/HANDKERCHIEFS. Like. Someone embroidered every cast and crew member's name on a handkerchief. Incredible. Best credits of all eternity.
I still counted it as a Torille moment! ๐คฃ
Me, during the first scene of Heated Rivalry: "Why is this guy a Russian and not a Finn?? It would be so much cooler if he was Finnish! FINNISH HOCKEY ERASURE"
Heated Rivalry: "Well his life at home fucking sucks"
Me: "Aaa yea totally makes sense now why he's Russian"
Watching the crime show Bookish, and Louisa and I are like "Who was this show made for? Specifically us!!!"
An old locomotive called Prins August, built in 1800s
And old trai carriage painted to look like a decorated gingerbread
I always love a railway museum!!!
Its fascinating how we're steadily moving towards the idea that anything that hurts my feelings should be a crime while simultaneously careening towards white theocratic nationalism and loss of civil liberties
These things are probably unrelated tho.
Massive eyebags because we were on the ferry during the biggest storm of the year. ๐ฅฑ
We may not be from Gรคvle but we are IN GรVLE
Louisa: "Oh, turns out Lรคkerรถl is from Gรคvle. And so are the Bilar lollies!"
Me: "Well, who isn't from Gรคvle?! Seems everybody is."
Louisa: "APPARENTLY CAT STEVENS WAS FROM GรVLE?????"
Turns out everyone is from Gรคvle.
Knitting on the train!

I wouldnโt feel as if it were Christmas if I didnโt share Balmainโs 1955 cocktail dress. I can only imagine how the wearer felt, arriving in this perfect Christmas gown. To all those who celebrate, I hope you are enjoying peace with favourite people. Sold via #KerryTaylorAuct #FashionHistory ๐๏ธ๐ชก
My wife and I actually visited his grave on our honeymoon! And we took tea in thermos with us and toasted to him and Nesbitt because OF COURSE WE DID. ๐ซ
