The entire crew isn’t billionaires.
So you’re wishing harm on innocents who aren’t deserving of harm

So you’re wishing harm on innocents who aren’t deserving of harm
Why do you wish harm on people?
Here’s another fun space video that can fit on Blue Sky.
A space shuttle launch as seen from inside the Mobile Launchpad.

Well they’ll be moving into a mine field as the majority of users here I’m seeing are younger than most FErs & age does appear to play a part in it.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the topic and it really doesn’t exist on BlueSky right now though I wouldn’t be surprised if they migrated over here as *that other place* sinks itself into oblivion.
While I wasn't alive for this test program, I would've loved to work on this. Testing a non-US engine of this size on US soil is something (I think) had never happened before and probably won't again
Honestly that’s the truth- it’s what drove me away until now.
I didn’t dislike the app- it’s built just fine but when I can’t find anyone I know to follow and even major organizations like NASA haven’t migrated here yet- there’s little to read or interact with.
Now there’s people & things to do.
I believe the J2X has more power but I may be wrong.
To be fair I don’t think many people do. Well, most of the time anyway.
To be fair I’m still firmly in the camp that 1B is underpowered & inefficient.
Block 1 is honestly such a beast. Yes it’s expensive but it has uses.
I still point to my Orange Paper & the J2X upper stage design.
Then comanifested cargo is even better given so much more launch mass.
It’s a vital part, yes. For 2 decades? Eh. I wouldn’t say that.
I still see SLS as the foundation to let starship prove itself in deep space & help foster a cislunar economy that’ll let NASA leave & make a new commercial crew program- but for Gateway & the moon.
I genuinely wonder if he’s been wanting to kill it this whole time but keeps failing to.
Maybe he wants to build a whole new app from its ashes.
But his aggressively bad handling of what was an already perfectly fine working platform is mind boggling.
Holy crap this is a face I haven’t seen in a while. So this is where you went.
BlueSky is great but feels like shouting into the void, and the only thing worse than the Abyss not gazing back at you is when it just leaves you on read.
I was wondering about what to call Blue Sky Twitter yesterday & came to the same conclusion- BlueSpace
Here’s a clip of the United States test firing a RD-180 engine before it would become part of the Atlas III rocket & later the extremely successful & (to date) perfectly reliable Atlas V rocket.
The test was performed at Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama.

I’d imagine roughly the same time in 2026. It gives lots of extra margins. Maybe slightly less since from what I’ve heard, they’re aiming for Orion to just take a softer re-entry. Solved that issue. EGS just needs more time.
To be fair I never had high hopes for September to begin with.
It’s quite literally peak hurricane season. So at best we’d be looking at late October, early November before this news.
To celebrate me moving (back) to BlueSky. Here’s a neat space video to enjoy.
(Although BlueSky’s 60 second video limit is a real killer- twitter’s 2m20s was bad enough- ah well.)
