It’s amazing how the “liberal = left” misunderstanding of politics that is so dominant in (and unique to?) US discourses reinforces itself via charts like this.

I’m fascinated by these godawful charts. My students regularly report various mainstream media sources as “left leaning” because of sources like these.

Does anyone have an idea of what the “All Sides” methodology is? Why do so many of these get it wrong? is it just anti-left bias all the way down?
