Thundersnow!!!
Today in the car my kindergartener asked to listen to Matt Skiba and the Sekrets π₯Ή
Taking today to feel my feelings about having spent the last six months knitting (and reknitting) a sweater I wonβt wear. Then itβs off to the frog pond we go.
Finally finished knitting my Old Friend Pullover. The pattern is wonderfully written and the finished sweater is so cute⦠and the way the funnel neck folds against my throat will drive me absolutely batshit if I actually try to wear it. (This is 100% a me issue, the sweater itself is great!)
Itβs 10:30am and still in the 50s, I am delighted that it finally feels properly like fall
Love when my two year old asks me to read to him and then he shouts βNo!β at me because he thinks i got it wrong like buddy, only one of us here knows how to read. Also pretty sure my BA in English more than qualifies me to read you your Halloween Busy Book.
Well you canβt say that and then not share a picture π
A pile of black knitting on a set of green needles held by a hand. A silver dragon stitch marker dangles from the needles
On the home stretch with this one, and just in time for fall weather. It needs about 4β of collar + seaming and weβre done!
Two fawns stand in overgrown grass in front of a white brick house. One fawn is eating grass, the other looks suspiciously towards the camera
Sometimes you force yourself to go on a mental health walk for your stupid mental health and the universe rewards you by crossing your path with baby deer π₯Ή
A half finished knitted sweater in black yarn with the live stitches held on bright pink needles rests on someoneβs lap. A hand holds the needles.
For #showmeyourknits Iβve finally picked up the stitches for the sleeves on this after a month and a half of procrastinating. Zipping right along and should be wearing it just in time for fall!

At the point in this pattern where I have to do a three needle bind off. And of course I forgot to bring a third needle with me so I donβt get my dance class waiting room knitting this week π
Do it!! I just cleaned out my filing cabinet last month and shredded things from that long ago. Itβs so freeing when youβre finished
The Sisyphean task of trying to tidy the playroom with a toddler (very actively) involved
Seriously?? Iβve been getting them for like a decade lmao. I have SO MANY.
Just ripping out the sleeve on this sweater so I can knit it again for the fourth time π©

A black sweater back lays on a brown sofa. Two balls of black yarn are attached to the sweater. A ball of purple yarn and a purple hat lay atop the sweater
A loose fitting yellow sweater with a big patch pocket
I want to do something interesting with the pocket but am undecided. I could do the pocket in purple, or i could knit an intarsia square of purple onto the front of the sweater to put a black pocket over. Leaning toward option 2 but is the extra effort worth it?
Dora the Explorer has been the real mvp (most valuable parent) here for the past couple of days, but with Covid in the house we do what we must
In that stage of parenting where I say βgive me a minuteβ and she immediately starts counting to 60
A partially knit sweater in black yarn held on pink needles topped with rubber ducky point protectors. Two balls of black yarn rest atop the sweater and everything lies on a light brown sofa
Nearly back up to where I was. Luckily this yarn is lovely to work with and the pattern is blissfully mindless with miles of plain stockinette so I donβt actually mind reknitting it at all
Omg same π©
Pittsburgh scanner is fuckin wild today
Officially calling it on nap time. Heβs happy now. I could scream.
Itβs raining and unseasonably chilly and I am wearing cozy clothes and brewed up the very last of my pumpkin chai intending to do a little writing today. So far Buster has spent his entire nap time screaming for me through the baby monitor so, so much for that i guess π©
Lmaoooo omg youβre not gonna believe this or maybe you will but I still have that grey sweater ππ
Lmao he was so funny βyou forgot the silent Q!!β
I saw advice to feed your cat/give cat treats when you take your meds. You may forget but your cat will never!
And bless past me for doing the button band before abandoning it, seriously. If the button band still needed to be done it wouldβve gone right back into the closet
