Thanks so much!! :)
Thanks so much!! :)
Thank you so much!!
Hi All, I can officially share some exciting news! I will be starting a postdoc @ucdavis.bsky.social Department of #PsychiatryandBrainSciences with Dr. Manpreet Singh to study the neural mechanisms, prevention, and treatment of mental health disorders (e.g., bipolar disorder, ADHD)!
Can't wait!! π
Thank you so much!! βΊοΈ
Mary D. Ainsworth award certificate
Thank you PBS for the 2025 Mary D. Ainsworth Award! This recognition means so much. π

Yesterday I gave a talk at #CNS2025 on my postdoc project bridging lab & classroomβmeasuring attention in schools. As an early-stage researcher, it was an incredible opportunity to stand on that stage and contribute to this evolving conversation on real life neuroscience.
poster on cerebellar RPEs
At @cogneuronews.bsky.social CNS tomorrow (Tuesday) morning? Don't miss Juliana Trach's poster on "Neural Correlates of Reinforcement Learning in the Human Cerebellum", 8-10AM.
We're excited about it -> robust RPEs in the human cerebellum, but ONLY for sub-second delay between choice & feedback!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by! :D
Hello all, I will be at #cns2025 in Boston - feel free to drop by my poster (#A59) on Saturday titled "Choosing When and Where to Attend: Decoding the Electrophysiological Correlates of Self-Paced Willed Attention". Can't wait to meet up with all of you once again!
AND stop by my incredible research assistant's (Josh Seewald) poster at the same time! "Alpha Lateralization from Distractors: Suppression-Specific and Domain-General"
Come see my poster @cogneuronews.bsky.social TOMORROW @ 3pm! π
"Target Enhancement Is Not Simply One Process: Different Factors for Explicit Cueing Effects and Statistical Learning Effects on Attention"
#CNS2025
The time has come!!!
I will be defending my dissertation on 3/18 at 12pm ET! If you'd like to attend in person or remotely, send me a message and I can share details! :)
My dissertation is titled, "The βSame Coinβ Fallacy: Target Enhancement and Distractor Suppression in Human Visual Attention"
Congrats!! π
Spoiler alert: Using support vector machine decoding, we can predict whether someone is going to saccade to the left or right up to two seconds preceding the onset of a visual search array using solely the broadband EEG data!
Hello all!
New paper out on bioRxiv: 'Unconscious Neural Activity Predicts Overt Attention in Visual Search'. We looked at the EEG activity preceding the first saccade into a visual search.

Considering everything that's going on, this seems likely a timely announcement:
Our primer on emotion regulation is out now! π€©
We break down what emotion regulation is, why it matters, and how to assess & improve it. π€

1/10 π§ We need better ways to measure brain excitability in psychiatric disorders. The prefrontal cortexβkey target for brain stimulation treatmentsβis particularly hard to assess. Our new studies tackle this with systematic mapping! bit.ly/4cjHknX & bit.ly/3PW8RCx
