Jesus. F*cking. Christ.
Labours attitudes towards water companies is one of the starkest examples of how they'll do anything to protect the status quo.
The case for water nationalisation is so bloody obvious to everyone - yet they'll do anything they can to keep the failed privatisation experiment.
Newspapers that told their readers austerity, Brexit, Johnson & Truss would be brilliant are attacking the British Prime Minister for not unquestioningly following a lunatic President into an illegal attack. And on social media, he gets attacked from the other 'side' for doing the precise opposite!
Solar and wind prices don't fluctuate when rogue US presidents launch illegal bombing campaigns. So why are Farage and Reform so against renewables??
@bbc5live.bsky.social for a start during summer many school and college gym facilities will be available. Arrange to get access to these first for under 18s
Really concerned to hear the Defence Secretary refuse to rule out UK's involvement in future strikes on Iran.
Iraq lessons must be learned.
Further escalation in the Middle East makes us all less safe.
Starmer must rule out UK involvement immediately.
Nigel Farageβs history of spurious election fraud allegations.
2014: Farage claims voting fraud happening βon a third world scaleβ, no evidence found.
2015: South Thanet elections, Farage fraud allegations dismissed.

Surely if LABour want to take some action that will make a difference to voters then watch βDirty Waterβ. The actions needed are obvious.TheGovt need to show itβs Governing in our interests.
Trump says this is not happening. Which is why he spent his State of the Union speech honoring sports teams and awarding military medals.
Rosa Parks refused to surrender her seat in Montgomery & exposed the cruelty of segregation to the world.
Oppression depends on compliance.
Freedom begins the moment we refuse!
They called it the rules.
She called it injustice!

She gave them a movement!
When Rosa Parks refused to surrender her seat in Montgomery, she exposed the lie that injustice deserves patience!

Today's by-election is another illustration of the problems with FPTP.
The result may tell us less about what voters want to happen than whether they can game the system effectively to stop a result most *don't* want.
The electoral system should not be an obstacle that voters have to work around.
Reform UK accused of planning to downgrade council workersβ pensions
Ship and Crew
Star Trek's finest
Itβs time for our legislators to take a lesson in courage from eighth graders like Lydia and stand up to the gun lobby.
It's clear who Reform UK stand for - and it's not workers.
They seek to sow division, while committing to throw our hard-won rights on the scrapheap.

You could make this up, but you donβt need to.
Reform UK plans to use Β£500bn assets of council pensions to invest in British businesses ft.trib.al/0fvqyyt
Photo of Yusuf at a lectern saying βshadow Home Secretaryβ (Wot?) Reform's plan for a 'British ICE' combines cruelty with stupidity
Project forward to 2036 under a majority Reform government and the picture darkens further. Britain would be smaller, older and whiter; more isolated from Europe; paradoxically, more vulnerable to foreign interterence and less able to fund its own defence. The welfare state would shrink to a skeleton. Charity would fill the gaps. Flags would proliferate; rights would not. The police and courts would be politicised. The BBC could disappear. The NHS would survive only as a minimal safety net. Protections against discrimination would erode - you might indeed be sacked for being disabled. Migrants and even their British-born children could find their rights curtailed unless they were deemed to "contribute" sufficiently. Meanwhile, the wealthiest would enjoy a generous, low-tax regime.
βRarely has a British political party unveiled a programme that combines cruelty with impracticality on such an extravagant scale.β
Chilling on Reformβs increasingly confident fascism. High on viciousness and greed. Very low on wisdom. A ruinous combination.

#UK: We've sent a letter to Yvette Cooper expressing deep concern that funding for the BBC World Service is due to run out at the end of March.
We urge the government to confirm a long-term funding arrangement to ensure their vital work continues β¬οΈ

"Consider this fact: England...is pretty much the only country in the world whose entire water industry is fully privatised". Spot on from Graham Hiscott in he Daily Mirror.
Watch Channel 4's 'Dirty Business' tonight. It's brilliant, and you'll be outraged.

The US President, which does not offer free healthcare to his own people, wants his own people to offer free healthcare⦠to Greenland⦠which already has free healthcare.
Maybe it is time for another brain scan for the US president.
The video from Nigel Farage gives the impression that he was individually refused access.
Farage is in the Maldives.
200 miles away from the Chagos Islands which are not a
tourist destination.
Hasn't got the paperwork and wasn't on the 'aid boat' he's pointing at which is trying to establish a settlement for four people on the islands.
How is this serving Clacton? Who paid?
