Always a good idea to keep away from the house. They can attract little furry creatures you might not want running around your home

I've seen people make very complicated and/or expensive setups. Which are only really needed if you want lots of compost fast. But then you need a ton of material all at once to fill everything up. Just keep gathering little bits and layer everything. Nature & time does the rest

This was my second year. I just made a 4ft x4ft cage with posts and netting wire. I filled it with whatever waste materials were available during the growing season. Then in autumn I'll collect leaves and mulch some tree trimmings and mix those into my pile, then just left it covered over winter

I can only find "solanum lycopersicum" but that's just a generic name for bite size cherry tomatoes, some can grow huge (10ft), not what we're looking for
Name on the packet is the same.
Maybe try searching "little birdy" determinate tomatoes. I think the "Red Robin" is subset or hybrid of those

Red Robin tomatoes
These are a micro dwarf variety that produce lovely sweet cherry tomatoes. Their compact size makes them great for indoor growing. They only grow to around 12 inches/30cm and can be potted up in 7 or 8 inch pots/20cm. Pictures ones are from seed I had saved from my first crop 🌱

44 sacks of homemade organic compost stacked together inside a shed.
I'm really delighted with this.
Just got 55 x 50 litre sacks of homemade organic compost from last years grass clippings, wood chips, garden waste, weeds, food scraps, cardboard. Savings range from €350 +50 delivery for 2 bulk bags or anything up to €8.99 for smaller 10 litre bags

Found some leeks in the garden.
Chopped them in to batons, seasoned with salt and pepper, dredged in potato starch and deep fried until crispy. They were a delicious accompaniment to the mince and roast potatoes

In a British context, it's particularly odd to watch moderate and sensible journalists + politicians decrying X misinfo one minute, then vastly overstating the salience of X-born right wing talking points the next. Their days spent telling you that there's lead in the paint, while drinking it.

Black and white image. Square format.
The upper windows of a building, roof, chimney. A vintage airplane appears to leave a smoke trail from the buildings chimney stack.

Yeah that's the norm. Liquid sunshine. An Irish comedian once said, "Ireland would be a lovely little country if you could roof it" 😁

This local Wolfdog joined an Olympic ski event and triggered the finish-line camera. This is Nazgul. He snuck into a cross-country skiing sprint this morning and raced the homestretch with some competitors before being escorted home. 14/10 someone get him a medal
