tech nerds: you fucked up a perfectly good computer is what you did. look at it. it's got anxiety
Coen Brothers films. I find them annoyingly smug and unfunny. I can see that they're well made and what they're going for. It just doesn't land for me.
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2 (aka my fav FF game)
Kingdom Hearts
Atelier Iris 3
If you like Nier Automata I'd recommend going back and playing Drakengard. It's not the most polished game, but the atmosphere caries it.
Koei Tecmo has a few Pokemon games under their belt, but did you know Square Enix developed one? Pokemate for Japanese phones let you catch Pokemon and message friends. Japanese phones are really a treasure trove for these types of oddities.
"Goodbye, Lara" anime series is coming in July 2026.
Directed by Takushi Koide (Kinema Citrus studio).

A computer can never be held accountable. Therefore a computer must never make a management decision.
Always a good time these days to repost this slide from an IBM internal presentation in 1979.
People who like AI art will buy a beautiful mid century house and paint over a beautiful brick and natural wood floors with the ugliest shade of grey

Queen Rafflesia speaking over a screen. She's wearing a black velvet dress with a neckline that plunges all the way to her navel and ends in a heart shaped cutout.
This is her battle outfit. xD
Her normal look is actually really good imo. Love that cutout.
The alien Queen Rafflesia channeling Cher. Her long black hair is almost down to the ground. She's wearing a bright pink and teal jump suit. The fronts of the extremely flared pants are pink and the backs teal with a small white panel in between that also flares out. The bodice has two big circles of pink covering her breasts. The sleeves of this thing are teal again.
I think this anime I'm watching might be from the 70s.
a digital collage with a pink, purple, green, yellow, and teal gradient overlaid on all the images. the images include a horse carrying a bucket, a cluster of mushrooms, a grub, a birds talon, a cicada, five spiders, two flower buds, a hand with an eye over the back of it, and a microscope slide of atoms. there is white text that reads "get weirder or die miserable." the background is black and there is a slightly grainy texture

The start of a journey to a new Final Fantasy world on PC in 2000.
Make sure you make room for those additional files, says Seifer.
Watercolor fanart of that bubblegum blowing mutant, Jubilee. Of the X-Men! I hope she helps brighten your days and/or evenings. π

Yes! I remember us being surprised the queue for it was so much shorter than the one for Hyrule warriors! π
Reached into my WiiU collection and pulled out my reason for getting this weird little machine: Bayonetta 2 #RandomGameSaturday

I don't remember an endgame fetch quest, but I also haven't read that guide in about 20 years. π I wouldn't be surprised if I missed it because it was buried somewhere on the website either though.
So. This is what separates a good translator from a mediocre one.
A mediocre translator looks at the word. Then translates the word. They have no knowledge of context beyond the word.
A good translator knows that words carry information. The word itself is not important. What is important is (1)
Trains obviously. Railway tech has never stopped evolving it just looks that way from the outside, because mostly the trains "just run". We need to move away from the idea that only brand new tech is worth paying attention too. The best tech is often that which has been refined over time.
but it was still a terrible decision on the part of Brady Games. Unrelated to loosing the data, I bought that physical guide because we had dial-up internet in a different room from our Playstation. So I ended up printing off that entire website part just so I could use it. π
Speaking of guides and archiving, the official Brady Games FFIX guide, part of it was hosted on an official website. You had to access it by entering a keyword found in the physical guide. That website has ofc been taken down. Luckily FFIX has enough fans that there's a fan recreation of the website

Day 4: Othello by Ikezawa Satomi
Hell yeah! This show and Noir were my introduction to Yuki Kajiura's work and I still love it.
OK so I fucked something up in the conversion, and was finally able to fix it on my end. Here's it is in its 4:3 glory.
