AuDHD Chronically Ill

@megcastiel

Late diagnosed AuDHD with multiple chronic illnesses. I will likely say something that's not quite right, so please be patient with me. My brain goes faster than my mouth does, and I don't get all the words right every time. Don't ask for my real name.

I can't even remember years when traumatic events happened to me. I have to approximate based on what I remember about the event.

Trauma can create huge gaps in your memory.

Chronic illness is unfair & unrelenting.

I’m facing a threat to my housing which has wrecked my baseline.

I haven’t written in weeks.

I don’t have a working washing machine so I’m covered in hives.

Today multiple things broke on me.

Then I broke. Sorry for the lack of writing. My brain is done.

Everyone: Look! Gas prices are going down! We can finally fill our tanks again!!

Trump: Time to bomb something in the Middle East!!

They should just not do that in general. Unless they actually ARE experts themselves, they should just not.

Even as experts, men should really pause and ask, "Why am I correcting this person? Is it really to be helpful or am I trying t6be condescending?" It's usually the latter.

I love audio books, but I still need the text to follow along frequently to keep things straight. It can get expensive and it's not like there are a lot of "Buy the paperback, get a discount on the audiobook" discount packages. I get both when I can, though.

As someone who is disabled and can no longer work full-time or do manual labor for extended periods, this is absolutely no surprise to me.

The job market is total shit. If you have a background in the medical field or can handle retail, you're okay. The rest of us are screwed.

I love non-fiction!! I just wish I could afford a reader pen so that I could actually read again.

There is no possibility of fulfilling an ethical scientific mission under a eugenicist administration.

I would go so far as to say that it violates ethics to even attempt to do so. These scientists need to go back and check their codes of ethical conduct.

No. The answer is no. You can't fulfill an ethical, scientific mission under an administration that is being run by eugenicists.

Trump's ability lays solely in his capacity to manipulate and coerce while still appealing to his audience.

Cenk Uyger (founder of The Young Turks Network) describes some of what Trump does as AB testing, and this is very appropriate.

And? His lack of a college degree isn't the issue. His inability to apply critical thinking skills or knowledge to real world scenarios IS.

There are people who have graduate degrees who have that same problem. They simply regurgitate word vomit.

06.03.2026 14:14 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

A lot of folks who have their Google U degrees have the same issue. They simply regurgitate without understanding.

The degree isn't what matters. The application of knowledge and critical thinking skills is what matters. 2/2

I went to graduate school with people who barely received their MS and had to take certification exams several times to pass. Supervisors weren't even comfortable providing a letter of recommendation.

Sure, they had the education . . . they didn't understand it, though. They just regurgitate. 1/2

Mocking trauma survivors for struggling is such loser sh*t. Mocking vulnerable people for not fitting in is loser sh*t. Scapegoating entire genders, orientations, races, or ethnicities for your life sucking is loser sh*t. Get a life.

Image of original "Votes for Women" sash from Suffragette movement. Sash has small violet stripes at the top and bottom with green stripes the same size inward from the violet stripes. The largest portion of the sash is the center, which is white and has the lettering in violet.

I have a questions for Black women on here.

I am well aware of the racism and exclusion of various groups of women in the original Suffragette movement. I was considering art/crafting with "Votes" changed to "Autonomy" but feel this would be excluding too many women given its history.

Thoughts?

The media hasn't had any integrity for some time . . .

Dinesh D'Souza's work of fiction, "Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party," is in the list of $5 movie deals in Fandango at Home listed as a "documentary."

Folks, he's not an historian. He's not a serious person.

So, even though I made a choice to vote against fascism in the last presidential election, I will NEVER shame anyone who chose not to vote or voted third party.

Our votes are our voices, after all 5/5

The DNC chose candidates they knew couldn't win on policy, so they played a game of chicken. They are STILL playing that game.

Democrats put our rights and our democracy at risk every single time they do this and then throw a temper tantrum if it doesn't work. 4/5

Yes, Hillary Clinton's campaign elevated Trump in the primaries believing him a weak candidate.

Yes, we have more far right candidates IN PART because of the DNC promoting them in the primaries.

They steered the GOP to dangerous candidates. 3/5

26.02.2026 12:14 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

This is a strategy whereby they actually use DNC funds to elevate a specific GOP candidate in the primaries viewed as the "weakest" candidate to increase their chances of winning.

Lately, that's been far right extremists, who have been winning. 2/5

If you are STILL vote-shaming and trying to lay blame for fascism on third party voters and non-voters, there's something you need to know about the DNC.

They have been utilizing a campaign strategy called the "Pied Piper Strategy" for years. Clinton utilized it in 2016. 1/5

I understand feeling anger. This is absolutely misdirected and misguided anger.

The ONLY people responsible for electing Donald Trump are those who voted for Donald Trump.

Vote shaming is a fascist/authoritarian technique. Choosing to go down that road makes you as bad as MAGA.

Any Black women? Can we we come to your account to gush over, say, Grace Jones and her exquisite, artistic, androgynous looks of the 1980s?

I could use more Grace Jones appreciation in my life.

We all struggle with our prejudices and owning them. A lot of people truly believe that they cannot possibly be prejudice. And some of us are prone to over correcting. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

No easy answers. People are complex and we often just suck.

White folks- follow Black folks like Georgina Kiersten to CHALLENGE the racism and prejudice you have internalized your whole life because of our racist systems. Don't do so to virtue signal.

She is someone I have had positive interactions with when asking questions, and I can be blunt.

The Epstein files document what many women researchers have long experienced but rarely seen laid bare so starkly: exclusion operating behind closed doors, shaping who gets funded, invited, mentored, and taken seriously. How many of these networks, norms, and gatekeepers remain in place?

That's between 56,000 to 80,000 people total who can be detained in addition to the current capacity.

These are NOT for immigrants.

So, can we talk about the harms of continuously labeling everything as prejudice simply because ot is uncomfortable to talk about or think about?
