My bad for sure, muddied 80’s memory! Love the pic, thx, what a cool game.
@xmencomicssteve
Boxes and boxes of X-Men and X-adjacent comics. Collecting since 1986, chasing all the X-books - getting close to the finish line. Favs are both Wolverines, Storm, Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde. Also weird 80’s indie comics. Also cooking/recipe shares.

Ah ok, I was never lucky enough to play it at home! I was thinking of the arcade stand up version.
Enjoy!
Nice! Ending to S1 was just insanely crazy. And funny.
Don’t know if you like watching them, but I enjoyed the Peacemaker: The Official (video) Podcast on HBO for Season 2. But I watched it weekly so may not be worth it if you’re watching S2 in a shorter time.
Loved it, and didn’t it have a periscope viewer to play it? Like hand-on-each-side viewer you physically looked through? Or am I making that up? Or was that just Sea Wolf?
Here’s the M.U.L.E. gameplay. That music brought back memories. I’m going to watch the whole thing now.
youtu.be/84CDHusib6c?...
M.U.L.E. a 1983 Commodore 64 game about mining alien planets. Without action/adventure thrills. You just… mined.
Game play in comments to see what my 5th grade basement life was like
So correct! I have this for chicken and a recipe for red if I’m doing beef. And I fell in love with pozole/posole a few years ago.
Thanks! And I know my son’s gonna like it if chopping the chili peppers makes me cough a bit.
Have zero connection to the chilipeppermadness site other than being a fan for years.
It’s especially my go-to for any spicy recipes. And their very detailed recipe for gumbo gave me the courage to tackle a roux for the first time!
Photo of a baking sheet, covered in aluminum foil, with halved raw tomatillos, seranno pepper, poblano peppers. All skin side up, plus 8 garlic cloves
Photo of green enchilada sauce, in an enamel pot, read to simmer a bit on the stove. It’s a darkish green color - you can see many different-sized white pepper seeds, as well as chopped cilantro, floating in it
Today’s homemade green enchilada sauce, for tomorrow’s chicken enchiladas. Bit of work but so worth it - a nice kick too

Recipe I use here. My version’s a little darker cause I use dark chili powder www.chilipeppermadness.com/chili-pepper...
Oh that’s good to know, thank you! I’ll check Netflix for sure.
I’m just an old man, standing in front of a cable box, yelling at the sky.
Silver lining: frees up some time to tackle the reading pile
Watched new season of Drive to Survive on Netflix, excited for launch of F1 this weekend. TIL all races are exclusively on Apple TV; don’t have, won’t subscribe to just for F1
Can’t wait til each half of the Super Bowl, plus the halftime show, are on 3 different streaming services. Ok rant over
Pic of a 1980’s orange box for Stouffer’s frozen creamed chipped beef dinner
1980s quick frozen dinner staple growing up. Don’t forget to cut the small slit in the top before microwaving. Choices: 1) overcook and dodge steam when opening, or 2) undercook and leave a very tiny frozen piece in the middle of the brick.
(only old timey pic of a box I could find)
Yeah that one’s so great. The team picking the movies definitely had a fun time. And I want to be in the room when they talked about including a Magic Mike homage cover
Unimportant side note: never jumped a hill, but I did jump a curb with the Mustang once (not on purpose). Almost lost an original hubcap.
That sounds about right for what I paid at the time. I know it wasn’t $100+ or it would’ve stuck in my head a bit more.
I was wondering yesterday about which ones they did, so I found a link that lists them
The Catwoman Bullitt one calls to me b/c I drove a ‘67 Mustang high school. And Lost Boys of course.

I got it about 6 yrs ago and honestly can’t remember how much it was. Not cheap but not expensive? But pre pandemic pricing
Me on this list too, I hear it’s amazing.
That was me maybe 3? yrs ago, it’s called Buy It Forward. And I’m on your side of it plenty.
My local bigger con suffers from exactly the same issues you two are talking about in this convo. Started going 2nd year, went once post pandemic and decided it just wasn’t worth it. Sad, but b/t admission, parking, price hike skipping it’s a pretty nice condition bronze X-key.
I’d love to have that one, with or without the mask! Fantastic book
I saw that, well done. We limped a bit into the Olympic break, full on tripped since then. Still watching, just feels like 4 periods each game.
Photo of comic cover for Batgirl Volume 4 #40 B variant cover. Homage to the Prince Purple Rain movie poster
What a perfect book for him to sign, nicely done.
For #TopShelfFriday I’m going with Batgirl Vol 4 #40 B variant cover (2015 Purple Rain movie poster homage). To prove I have some DC books and decent taste in music
Meanwhile, my Caps just traded John Carlson so that’ll tell you how our run for the post season is going.
Those are the best! Only happened to me once or twice, such a great surprise. And love the flip-through video.
Holy crap congrats Michael! Been following your Daredevil hunt for a while. In-sane.
Between that and how the Sabres are playing, looks like you’re headed into a great weekend.
I had forgotten Favreau was in the Affleck DD movie. Once owned the SVD but it got purged (with many others) a couple moves ago.
