macOS told me that I couldn't save the changes to a shell script I was writing because the hard drive was full 😭😅

The floors are now fully installed 🙌🙌
The final tasks will be to install & paint the baseboards and quarter round.
Fueled by loads of turkey, we’ve gotten the underlayment stapled in, and the floor installation has begun! We’ve gotten almooost half of it in. Going to install the rest of it in tomorrow!

Still playing through the new Factorio DLC! I’ve got my first space base up and running and producing science packs, now I’m working on building my first ship to travel to a new planet! 🚀
After a few hours with the drum sander, our new subfloor is finally flush with the existing ones!
There’s still some subfloor prep to go, like removing all of the staples from the laminate flooring and filling in a few low spots. I think that’s a job for tomorrow!
Update: we eventually got the subfloor replaced! Today’s task is to sand it down so that it’s level with the rest of the subfloor…maybe flooring will be next! 😄

I’ve had good luck automating smart plugs with HomeKit! Every now and then the plugs will stop responding, but the issues usually resolve themselves with a little time.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised when the API used a stringly-typed API instead of something more type-safe and discoverable like enums.

One of the first things I do when creating a new project is to create a SemanticSymbols struct with all of the string values so that I can have consistent symbol usage throughout the app!
Then, each time I need to make a close button, I just use SemanticSymbols.close 😄

I was playing around with the AT protocol and as a little experiment I made a website that visualises activity around Bluesky: nightsky.hctr.dev
It listens to all new posts and shows them as little stars across a night sky 🌃

That definitely didn’t go quite how we thought it would! 😅 We found some gnarly water damage on one edge of the subfloor, so it had to come out!
New subfloors will go in tomorrow! 😄💪
