CONGRATS
Iβve been collecting national park passport stamps for a while now, but Iβve never really documented the adventure. Itβs time to change that! π
Todayβs stop: Little River Canyon National Preserve, where the river cuts a 600-foot-deep canyon right through the top of Lookout Mountain. Gorgeous!
@chriswu.com Iβm not sure what hand you were dealt, but mine looked like ππππ
Itβs hard to come up with the words to do the magic of @deepdishswift.com justice. Incredible pizza, talks, developers, and friends. See yβall in 2026! ππ
See you soon, @deepdishswift.com!
If you need me, Iβll be at the botanical gardenβs yearly plant sale π»
Someone please stop me π
macOS told me that I couldn't save the changes to a shell script I was writing because the hard drive was full ππ
Xcode and iOS betas are like Pokemon, gotta catch 'em all!
It's much happier now! Every megabyte counts when you have a 512GB hard drive π
This is your yearly spring cleaning reminder to head on over to Xcode β Settings β Components and remove all of those OS runtimes that you're no longer using!
I just freed ~100GB from my machine by cleaning these up π§Ή
How has it already been 2 years?? π€―
Saturday's project: adding campground pictures for hundreds of campgrounds across the US National Parks system. Huge thanks to the US National Park Service for making these available.
Coming to Pines soon! πΈ

Just made my first post, congrats on the launch! π
Ship it!
The floors are now fully installed ππ
The final tasks will be to install & paint the baseboards and quarter round.
Fueled by loads of turkey, weβve gotten the underlayment stapled in, and the floor installation has begun! Weβve gotten almooost half of it in. Going to install the rest of it in tomorrow!
See you there! π€©
Still playing through the new Factorio DLC! Iβve got my first space base up and running and producing science packs, now Iβm working on building my first ship to travel to a new planet! π
After a few hours with the drum sander, our new subfloor is finally flush with the existing ones!
Thereβs still some subfloor prep to go, like removing all of the staples from the laminate flooring and filling in a few low spots. I think thatβs a job for tomorrow!
Update: we eventually got the subfloor replaced! Todayβs task is to sand it down so that itβs level with the rest of the subfloorβ¦maybe flooring will be next! π
Pines is currently featured on the VisionOS App Store! This is my first time to have an app featured on the App Store! π€―π€―
Huge thanks to the App Store team and to @thillsman.me for letting me know about it! π
Iβve had good luck automating smart plugs with HomeKit! Every now and then the plugs will stop responding, but the issues usually resolve themselves with a little time.
π I created a starter pack of all RevenueCats on Bluesky.

Great minds think alike π
Yeah, I was pretty surprised when the API used a stringly-typed API instead of something more type-safe and discoverable like enums.
Maybe one day! π€
One of the first things I do when creating a new project is to create a SemanticSymbols struct with all of the string values so that I can have consistent symbol usage throughout the app!
Then, each time I need to make a close button, I just use SemanticSymbols.close π
I made a thing!
I was playing around with the AT protocol and as a little experiment I made a website that visualises activity around Bluesky: nightsky.hctr.dev
It listens to all new posts and shows them as little stars across a night sky π
Every star is someone, somewhere, posting something
That definitely didnβt go quite how we thought it would! π
We found some gnarly water damage on one edge of the subfloor, so it had to come out!
New subfloors will go in tomorrow! ππͺ
