I think a lot of people just don’t know how to fight this shit. We aren’t always getting the information we need, and we don’t want to make things worse. I know the confusion and cruelty are by design, but it’s still frustrating.

I spent four decades saying things without thinking and talking over people without meaning to, and I thought I was just an asshole. Diagnosed with ADHD at 42, and the meds are amazing. My brain just needed to calm down and be more patient.

I did the same to my own parents when I was a kid. And yes, my kids returned the favor. It’s part of life, but my kids sure had some sort of anti-sibling radar thing going on for a while there. 😬

The correct answer is BOTH.

As much as I hated TROS, I could easily see why Ben had his mask reforged. He probably felt vulnerable without it, and he had some work to do before he could shed his Kylo persona and finally convince Rey that he’s ready to be with her. As Ben.

I love that the art clearly conveyed his desire to get away from her.

Exactly! He didn’t set out to be Supreme Leader. He just wanted to be free of Snoke’s abuse, but he didn’t have enough time to convince Rey to join him before she left.

That works for me!

I hope they were setting it up this way to force him to accept his feelings for Rey. Otherwise, it’s just another female character being thrown into the story for no apparent reason. (I’m assuming she’s not still around by the time TROS happens.)
