This is crazy- there’s a cut to HSE capital plan this year

Rising population, more complexity of care & yet less money going into hospital beds, equipment and IT

Dept of Health’s own bed plan says it needs to build 2,900 by 2031
But plans only 143 new beds this year πŸ™„

Motion submitted - the continued issue of Cork airspace was brought home to me with a conversation with Cork City Missing Persons Search and Recovery who do not have blue light status to allow them to bypass the air restrictions now in place by the IAA. That’s simply wrong.

Writing in today’s @echolive.bsky.social Let’s be clear on transport in Cork. There is no one silver bullet, but rather there’s a multitude of mini silver bullets needed to take down the beast that is over congestion and unsafe roads.

Telling schools to appeal their SNA cut is a cop out. Principals an SnAs and families deserve better than an appals species that will just compound workers and paper filling. Stop the cuts now @ivanabacik.bsky.social

Back on the bike this morning for school commute. Within 4 minutes of being on the road, two cars broke through red lights to make a turn that would have been doable if they waited another 30 seconds, 4 yellow boxes blocked and lines of traffic. But bike lanes are the problem πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

It’s frustrating enough for me as a Cork representative that the rollout is happening Dublin first, but with the amount of money already spent, it warrants an explanation.
