Scotland β€˜going backwards’ on private land ownership, report warns Concern over accumulation of new sites by major landowners amid reform push

New report says Scotland’s public resources β€œflow to wealthy private landowners” encouraging further land concentration via subsidies and tax breaks, rather than taking β€œbold and necessary land reform measures.”

There’s too much pandering to the powerful.

Do they not know that many of our roads are old military roads? Below is AI for quick and easy - not accurate but it gives the rough idea.

A healthy ecosystem requires a wide range of species interactions

Focussing only on, eg, pollination or predation, will not hep ecosystem-level conservation

Land is power – Scotland’s people have none Land isn't just about wealth and justice, it's about power. Scotland is cut off from its own land resources and hence is poorer as a nation

"Scotland’s aristocratic families do not cling to their massive estates only because of income but because of the influence it confers – to them, and their children, and their children’s children. It is about controlling Scotland’s future in the way they control so much of its present."

I went to a place, can't remember the name, possibly National Trust, in the north-east of England and in the walled veg garden it had 14 compost boxes! The 14th was the finished article, my word, it was stupendous!
