In my experience, even people born back as far as ~2000 don’t have any legit political memory before the Trump era started and don’t understand just how out of pocket the last decade has been.

Not who you asked, but I have, at multiple levels of gov’t. I also voted third-party in 1996 and 2000.

But once it’s down to one candidate from each party in a first-past-the-post system, I’ll vote for the one who is the mix of closest to my principles & best chance to win, in that order.
