People put a lot of pressure on creators to "simply not care" but seem to just allow fans to be abhorrent to others with very little pushback because "that's just how it is"

Why are we expecting one person to just be OK when there are thousands of people being terrible to them at all times?

It's really unfortunately when people fall into regressive pipelines because the things being fed to them use colourful "feel good" language to make it seem more palatable

This is why reading comprehension and understanding context and history is so important, so you don't fall for these things

I don't play League anymore, but RIOT saying they can't add mixed-damage items or AD support items to the game because "we'll need to add a lot to make it work" just... yeah? That's the whole point of build variety

I haven't played 2e yet but apparently the way actions works encourages this even more

Most of our party has swift actions or immediate actions they always have available to them, and everyone gets 2 attacks now. Even if you're a caster (me) it's very rare that your one thing just doesn't work, you'll always be doing decent damage or buffing the party in a major way

This is probably why I always play GISH classes that give me extra attacks or ways to cast spells as a bonus action. Being unable to do anything because my one action failed really does suck

It's a big reason why I enjoy pathfinder so much, most classes have multiple things they can do in a round

You spend your whole life saying you want to get into art, music, cooking, or anything that isn't just a desk job and they tell you that's stupid, but then when you have a desk job they look at your personal creative endeavors and ask why you didn't make it your career when they never supported you.

They know there's money in the arts if you put the time and effort into it, but they still can't fathom that it's a "real job" so they force you to go to school but also somehow keep the same passion and skill level as if you did art full time.

It's really weird when all the people who dissuaded you from pursuing an art career as a kid suddenly turn around when you're an adult to show you professional artists making stuff and ask "why don't you do this anymore? You could have made good money!"

Really gets under my skin sometimes.

If I see an ad for a game that shows no gameplay (or split-second snippets of highly edited and obviously framed gamepled) I have very little faith that the gameplay is any good
