Murder Row wasn't super deep and meaningful the way this Voidstorm quest is supposed to be, but there was love for DH! Character refers to you as Slayer, dialogue is altered to match that vibe. Contrasting that against how many DH characters were added since Legion(3, all in Karesh)...

Overall I'm very adamant that Velf DH and Dev deserve better and more than this. Murder Row was amazing validation for fel DH. Leona herself has a fun story, but it's difficult looking at her story as representative of PC Velf DH. Hopefully we see her in the patches!

Also the class needs renamed. DH has needed to expand its concept for a while, Soul Hunter is right there! The longer we have "demon hunter who doesn't hunt demons or use demon magic" the sillier it gets. They don't even get the damage bonus for consuming demon souls, what are we doing here?

Nevermind that it's just barely relevant to player Velf DH and Devourer. This doesn't explain PC Velf DH having green eyes. You can extrapolate, but you could before this, too. Little wonder you see so few Velf DH OC's following anything close to this storyline.

Lore accurate read of the quest is that she was a true DH the moment she got her tattoos, consuming the domanaar unlocked a new ability a la DH intro. That's not how it's presented narratively, this quest shows her consuming the creature as the moment she became a DH.

Velf DH and Devourer deserve more and better than this quest tho. Okay sure Leona still has her eyes. Makes sense against Illidari lore. "Apotheosis" after consuming another creature is just completely different than Illidari, but not surprising. I've realized most people confidently don't know DH.

With how prophecy works in WoW I interpret that Illidan IS destined to fight the Void, but seeing him as an avatar of Light was Xe'ra's overconfidence(another theme of the Light we're seeing in force in this story). More fuel for my speculation we're going to get a patch with big DH focus!!

Cool having Illidan's vision brought up again and cool that it's hard confirmed that was Xe'ra. Has me convinced we'll see Illidan again before the end of Midnight. Saw people in WoWhead comments calling it a retcon lol, it was 80% direct quoting part of their exchange. Attached is from the novel.

Context didn't save the Velf DH quest in Voidstorm. I wanted to do it all in one sitting but I got upset part way through and took a break. No unique dialogue for DH, and the text is 100% written for a non-DH PC. Somehow we have this AND Murder Row in the same expansion, opposite extremes. Spoilers!

its so weird cuz the rabbits are $25 individually which is pretty typical to pre-Microsoft but just seeing the $50 tag for 4 of them has me raising an eyebrow. Housing tho is just laughable, i dont see items I see parts of larger builds. Only the 10-per eggs seem useful as color points LOL

Do you use an interact keybind? It looks like that one was out of range anyway but spec sight + interact feels like cheating sometimes

the number of call back NPCs... there's hours of exploration to be had!!!

you can't turn things off in edit mode, those buttons just toggles whether they're displayed or not. Personal resource display toggle is at the top of the Combat section under interface options
