An oil painting in which a small cut-paper scene rests on a pink tablecloth in front of a three-paneled mirror. The figure of a woman stands surrounded by blooming forsythia bushes, tulips, and crocuses. She wears a jacket and a scarf that fans out in a breeze though the flowers appear to be quite still. She holds a small forsythia, ready to transplant. The garden extends into the world of the mirror where the woman is reflected three times.
"Dream of a Garden," oil on wood panel, 14" x 18."

An ink drawing that shows a paper magpie with an earring in its mouth on a tabletop filled with costume jewellery and a reflective sphere.
I did some little ink wash drawings for the first time in a while. It was surprisingly fun to work mostly from memory and imagination.
Fortunately I found schools that taught me to improve instead of telling me to do something else after that.
