1. Maduro is not a good guy by any stretch of the imagination.
2. But capturing him through an extra-legal action that violates international law undermines any US credibility with Russia in Ukraine and China with Taiwan.
3. We have a terrible history with topping leaders without a post-war plan.

I’m certainly a lucky person to have such thoughtful & caring people in the lab. I’m transparent with them with regards to setbacks, failure, and resilience but this gesture was just beyond.

The Brilliant and Super Bright dyes really do need the Brilliant Stain buffers, but be aware that these buffers are mildly fluorescent, so leave them out if you don't need the dye, and titrate them down when you use them. For many antibodies you'll get better effect at 20-fold less (and cheaper)

Reform's β€˜plan’ to revoke the legal status of millions of UK residents is morally abhorrent & economic madness

The public believe in fairness & mutual respect, not this cruel Trumpian policy that would leave us all poorer. We are not America - we must resist this dangerous turn in British politics.

Farage vows to scrap indefinite leave to remain, placing thousands at risk of deportation Reform UK plans to force non-citizens to apply for visas with high salary thresholds and no access to NHS services

Thousands of Londoners have indefinite leave to remain.

They have legal rights and are our friends, neighbours and colleagues, contributing hugely to our city.

Threatening to deport people living and working here legally is unacceptable.

For our #flowcytometry peeps, would you like to have a single fix/perm protocol that is optimised for everything? One that preserves fluorophores while allowing simultaneous TF and cytokine staining? How about 100-fold cheaper?

Equity in science is a beautiful lie β€” and I’m done pretending Science isn’t really moving towards equity; institutions are just perfecting the appearance of equity. We need to build an alternative system.

A sad reality… gaslighting and performative actions are still the norm.

This was such a great advice, Adrian. I went back over my budget and was able to identify our burn-rate & spotted a few transactions that shouldn’t have been charged to my grant. Everyone in the lab came together & helped me figure out a way to monitor expenses, so it was a great team exercise.
