It's also a book about Shakespearean plays and politics so who's to say if it's really relevant. Was my favorite pandemic read. Shout out to the CBC for having the author on as part of their ongoing Stratford festival series
@davidmoscrop.com sad about the pod being done (got through 70 percent of the recent episode so apologies if I missed a big reveal about what's next!). Have you read Tyrant by Stephen Greenbalt? The conversation today had me thinking about the takeaways from that book re: avoiding middle ground
Had a great conversation today about AI in ecology and generally. It will be on @fisheriespod.bsky.social in a few weeks. Probably one too many Dune references but I won't apologize for that!
Many thanks. Feel like we're going this route but have to find our own custom. Megadetector documentation looks very friendly compared to some other platforms we looked at. I do need to identify watercraft from images, so am expecting well need to do some training regardless! Many Ty again!
Going to use machine learning eventually on the dataset, may as well start there, maybe...!
Awesome, I will check them out!
Thank you very much!
Ha!! Thanks for the leads.
Open to any and all thoughts advice and or method papers!!! :)
Anyone have experience with organizing trail camera into a database? Looking at a project where we'll have 5+ cameras taking hundreds of pictures a day. Data will be beamed to a single location OR data will be manually downloaded and then put into the database.
Check out some of the work my team has been working on at the international border!
