One day was dedicated to searching for spring in the magnificent Plantentuin Meise, right outside Brussels. Definitely did find spring there!
I of course also visited Brussels famous Manneken Pis and spotted his lesser known alien cousin Space Invader Pis.
Had a chill wander around Brussels and spotted lots of curiosities in shops, shop windows, and street art.

Me with a view of Brussels behind me
Spent a couple of wonderful days in Brussels. Many thanks to @sophiabor.bsky.social for hosting me!
Talking TO a trans person instead of ABOUT them?!?! Impossible concept to these bigoted anti-trans ideologues.

One of my favourite websites, the atlas of German everyday language, has an even more comprehensive map on this. Pancakes have lots of names in the German speaking world www.atlas-alltagssprache.de/runde-7/f01a/
Just from this one slide I believe this slide deck needs to be a TED talk. I know so many German learners who would love this.

Procured dinner AND successfully changed trains. What a successful half hour!
No worries, it's a reasonable question.
That sounds like an epic trip! As I have matured I tend to break up the longer train trips with overnight stays along the way. Recently did a lovely stay in Lyon on the way to Valencia.

Best, most sleepy neighbour on this train!
A white woman wearing over-ear headphones and an FFP2 face mask
The train is pretty comfy and I may have sparked a small trend. In my little area of four seats three out of four people are wearing masks. I am very surprised!
Across a bit of Western Europe.
I usually only share my exact location or destination with a time delay.
A sunset over a small lake
Sunset time!
A field with a bright sun above and some mountains in the background
The sunbathed landscape looked lovely outside of the train's windows

I am on a train! (and apparently that's the only time when I write much on here)
So let's do another travel thread:
Today I started in extremely warm sunny weather. 21Β°C in February in Germany is anomalous. I was briefly concerned I'd get sunburn while I waited for the train.
Some things are also racism. But most other things are gender.
I love that this is how I find out π
Wait, what? No general electricity mix? No consideration that often people install solar for their heat pumps and cars?
Can't comment on French, but in German we do struggle a bit cause we don't have an obvious singular neutral pronoun. So some neo-pronouns have been suggested.

Herzlichen Willkommen auf dem Account Leonhard!
I am sadly nowhere near East Dulwich, but welcome to Bluesky from a German Green! May you find your local network on here!
Thanks so much! My lecture is focused on photovoltaics, but I like to start with the bigger picture so find this very interesting. Will absolutely credit you if I end up using it.
Mmh, I wonder if the language I have set the app's user interface to, plays a role π€
