it is not just about republicans. the conservate dems had a very bad night in North Carolina on Tuesday. I actually consider those primary more important than the special elections.

were is the list of all the candidates that are running?

I think the fake progressive republican Kate Barr did quite well in the primary. it is amazing to think about that the dem primary plus Barr's votes are 5,679 more votes than Tim Moore got. so in other words the progressives got MORE VOTES than the conservatives!
@patriciasmithnc23.bsky.social Congratulations on your win
@samshirazi.bsky.social
@djsoke.bsky.social this result makes 0 sense. Virts was supposed to be the big front runner.

the Real Dems get a clean sweep in the races! Shelly Willingham loses and Michael Wray loses his comeback bid
@aaronkashtan.bsky.social
More good news for real democrats Veleria M. Levy defeats Nasif Majeed
Congratulations Rodney Sadler(@rodneysadler.com) on your win. I know most votes are not counted but your lead is so big that I feel comfortable projecting a win for you
Kind of like the conservative North Carolina Dems I talk about a lot.
OK, That is very good that Neal dropped out to endorse Levy. hopefully that will avoid splitting the liberal vote.
If you don't mind saying. "what other dem did you vote for. ( Veleria Levy or Tucker Neal)?
So it is prettyβs much a safe flip.(I rate it Safe D)
Jen won all the precincts!
It seems like Platner might be democrats Donald Trump.

Because the conservative dems donβt always vote to override vetos. The Pro ICE bill was only passed by one vote (with Carla Cunningham being the deciding vote) so just Carlaβs loss in the primary alone will be a boon for Dems, even without making gains in November.
The Democrats would theoretically need a net of three seats in the house. But they would like more so more could be absent. So the game will not be over once they get a net gain of 3. On the other hand if a net gain of 1 for the Dems will still be better than a net loss.
NC state house and senate are chambers were every seat matters. Because only 60% that are present are needed to override Stein Vetoes. Assuming Carla loses the primary but the other two moderate/conservative Dems win. (And assuming Michael Wray loses a comeback bid.)
That is excluding Fetterman though.
Alex Padilla would of also been a good candidate to clear the field.
Even Harris is more electable than him. Newsom is one of the few people that I would chose Harris Over. Here is what I mean
Sarah McBride>Harris>Newsom.
Well there was also a libertarian in the LT GOV race.
But like I said before it is almost impossible to get Durbin to vote for ICE Money. And Rosen seems like A hard no. republicans could pull out a miracle again. But I Don't see Durbin voting yes under any circumstances. so there is absolutely no margin of error to get to the 60 votes needed.
it seems like it will be very hard to get the 60 votes needed to fund ICE. the republican Budget managed to get exactly 60 votes. and Masto was one of them. the republicans already managed to get Paul(that they did not get last time)
