Paramount is estimating that SCREAM 7 will gross $16.3M ($92M total) this weekend—a drop of 74%.

For those keeping track, SCREAM 666 dropped 61% with $17.3M—winding up with $108M domestic by the end.

Amazon/MGM spent $75M to bring the MELANIA doc to theaters--around $28M of that into the First Lady's pocket.

It tapped out at $16.3M, and MGM only keeps about half. So, it made $8M for the distributor. That's not good, folks. That's political brand positioning at its worst.

WB’s THE BRIDE! is stitched together with impressive performances, wonderful direction/cinematography and masterful set design. The messages may be a bit muddled—but isn’t that life? In any form. Oh, and the dance sequences are inspired chaos. Maggie cooks.

Remember when Disney+ began and there was SO MUCH new content on the streamer? Now, you're lucky to get one or two series (or maybe just a couple specials) a month, and most of those are Marvel. So what you're paying for monthly is...access to old content...that you probably used to own outright.

IRON LUNG made over $40M domestic. Let that sink in. An independent release made $40M at the domestic box office. There are spaces out there not being filled. Distributors should take a long, hard look at what happened here. This is about the future sustainability of the theatrical industry.

Whether it's Netflix or Paramount devouring Warner Bros...neither option is great for theatrical exhibition.

All we have to do is look at what happened with 20th Century and Disney. Output decreased massively. And has never caught up.

The biggest nerd of all, Robert Carradine, has been initiated in the Tri-lambs in the Sky. He will always be Lewis to me, and man, that laugh—one of the most genuinely funny moments of 80s screwball comedies. RIP.

A documentary landing in the Top 5 domestic box office is a huge win... unless the distributor spent $75M to get it there. Melania was paid $28M as a "talent fee." That's Marvel money. Access. Leverage. Exclusive access to a politically powerful brand.
