NEWS: The U.S. Senate has given initial approval to the Republican resolution repealing D.C.'s tax-decoupling bill. The vote was 51-46, fully along party lines.

And in 2026, we need to go on offense. DC residents & our allies around the country need to work our butts off to ensure there are #DCStatehood supporting majorities in the House & Senate. We don't just need allies protecting Home Rule, we need allies with an all hands on deck pursuit of statehood.

There are still troops in the streets of DC, pretty much doing nothing. It's not crime prevention, it's for show. It's an unnecessary waste of time and money (LOTS OF TAXPAYER MONEY). These troops should be at home with their families and back in their own communities, not ours.

As we close out 2025, we can honestly say it was a pretty shitty year for DC. Unprecedented attacks on Home Rule took place, exposing the fallacy of the term Home Rule. Never forget that #DCStatehood is the ultimate goal of DC residents who seek an equal footing & place in our democracy.

Wyoming's Sen. Lummis is retiring. Both she & the other WY Sen won their elections with 198,000 votes. Eleanor Holmes Norton, DC's non-voting Rep in the House wins her elections with 280,000 votes. WY has 587,000 people & DC has 702,000 people. It's quite simple, the people of DC deserve statehood.
