Well it finally happened today at #CorDdygas , I saw a bittern. Flying past between reed beds. There is a laughable photo, but you just have to take my word for it. Also a first sighting of a little ringed plover. Caught a sedge warbler and saw the stoat again too! @angbirdnews.bsky.social
Got to Cors Ddygas early this morning, saw about 35 species. Of particular interest were the Cetti’s, Willow, Reed and Grasshopper warblers. Watched a stoat for a while too! @angbirdnews.bsky.social
Many thanks
Can I pick people’s brain on these birds with the black tailed godwit? Are they knots?
Great day for it at Cors Ddyga, the golden plover flock providing great visual spectacle in flight. Today’s spots: Kestrels on the stack, buzzard in the tree line, half a dozen curlew, four ruff and a great white egret @angbirdnews.bsky.social
A snippet of video too #snipe
Couple of hours at #corsddyga this afternoon. Starting to get my eye in spotting snipe @angbirdnews.bsky.social
