That said, I still love the episode and the show and respect that it's the writers' choice what to do with the characters, even if I wish it would've been something else.

(I kind of wish Sisko didn't go the noncorporeal route at the end either, but that's another thread) 😁

And if he misses them, he could always pop back home for a visit. Once a month, every other weekend, whatever. I just don't see why he had to stay there forever with what sounded like not even the possibility of seeing Kira or the rest of his friends again.

As soon as he with them, they know what he knows/thinks, including:
a) why they should knock it off with all the quadrant-conquering
b) some monoforms are not only not evil, but pretty swell

He doesn't need to stay there giving 26/7 seminars on the topic.

I'm still kind of bitter with how things ended with Kira and Odo though. Like, seriously, he cured the Great Link immediately (I saw it change color!). He could've just followed that with "You're welcome, stop hassling the solids, Odo out."

Just finished my second watch of DS9. Is it normal to want to immediately jump back in and start over again? 😭 I miss our crew and other station citizens already...
