That’s right. It’s a great match for the visuals, enhancing their already alien, woozy, dream-like quality. There are still a few VHS copies in the wild but I doubt we’ll ever see another commercial release.

Potentially lost media at this point, but I submit the opening for the “western” version of 1982’s Space Adventure Cobra movie, with the Yello soundtrack.
That’s a nice observation and I like and prefer it. It’s difficult to unpack what we’re expected to take away from an RTD-helmed “season arc” because his finales so often prioritise vibes over story. The Reality War makes less sense the more I think about it, but the series as a whole was terrific.
I assumed newly-created based on those ‘altered’ flashbacks to scenes from previous episodes.
Doctor Who is an autumn evening show, and here I am, every week, peering at it through summer sunshine at 9am.
I don’t know what kind of dreams that thing’s catching, but I sure hope I don’t experience one.
It has significantly lessened, but Exploding Head Syndrome and sleep paralysis were such a frequent part of my 20s and 30s that I’d go through periods of dreading sleep, knowing what was likely to happen. I’ve seen a *lot* of menacing shadow figures looming in the dark.
THIS NIGHTMARE WILL BE IN FULL COLOR
The only comic that has ever made me sit up straight and shout the two-letter word in this panel: “No!” THAT moment. What a double-page spread.
VERY STRANGE that I just finished watching this guy in a season 6 episode of Medium, having spent that whole time working out that I’d last seen him in a 1980s Columbo.
Pretty sure this has arrived from a parallel universe because there’s no way I wouldn’t have heard about the Arthur Lowe X-Files and read absolutely everything about it. Twice. Just to be sure it’s really real.
If you see this, post a fictional artist/band that you would love to see live.
How I arrived on BlueSky.
It was probably this (if not Transformers) that made me a committed comics reader. I finally recently completed my Marvel UK set, replacing an original fragmented collection so well-read that it was missing covers and held together with sellotape.
Interesting to note how conspiracy theorists, who are obsessed with perceived signs, symbols and codes, are unconcerned when an actual Nazi salute is offered up to them in broad daylight.
Spent most of the night dwelling not just on the obscene awfulness of it all but also on the fact that nothing will be done to challenge it and that we’re already being told we didn’t see and hear the things we saw and heard.
Donald Trump is sworn in as 47th US President
This has always been a Christmas film for me after seeing it for (I think) the first time one holiday morning in the early ’90s. It felt hypnotically weird.
Happy New Year!
20 days on Bluesky and barely even a glimpse of the laugh-cry emoji.
“Oh. Okay. I escaped then. Brilliant. Love it when I do that.”
