i prolly spend too much time gaming compared to you; i go into persona expecting a long game, but i also appreciate games that are more tightly scripted and paced.
because first off it would be considered a dirty delete

screenshot is the cover art from clair obscur expedition 33. my thoughts: the combat in this is really good, like many have said. parrying feels fair and very satisfying. the beach parkour game is ASS. and so is the volleyball game. i beat the easy and medium but fuck the hard one. the music is really good, i'm trying to learn the words to lumiere, even though i don't speak any french. and on that note, i love the french voice acting, the french immersion has been really enjoyable. the writing is absolutely top notch. i honestly don't play most games for the story because most stories are derivative and predictable. the giant husk you see early on in metaphor gives the whole thing away if you're paying attention. but expedition 33 has had some amazingly written and directed cutscenes already. my biggest complaint about this game is that while the entire game is absolutely stunning, the individual areas you go through feel very large but very sparse. you'll enter a giant hall that has literally one enemy and maybe one hidden treasure. and because the rooms and paths are so large, it's hard to figure out what's the "side path" and what's the "progression path." everything feels very empty. also, i didn't expect gustave to just straight up die. i expected some sort of story event because of his locked skills... but... is he coming back? he's coming back, right? for the rest of his skills...? aside from that, absolutely loving this. definitely lives up to bluesky's hype.

and all of this makes me think you don't actually believe i'm not a danger.
i think that's the big disconnect here.
