As staggeringly awful those figures are, it’s actually worse than that. After your first appointment you then have to wait a second appointment with a different consultant. After the second appointment and when both consultants agree on the course of action, your treatment then commences.
I did give a deep sigh when I read that earlier.

And so the conspiracy theories begin about Charlie Kirk’s murder. Apparently the ammo carried a pro trans message (according to the front pages of The Sun and The Times).
A quick little google search by insignificant me finds the Turkish manufacturer Turan, who have ‘TRN’ stamped on their ammo.
Moreover, he’s obsessed with his hated towards the trans community. His vitriol has been non stop for years and years.
“Hurry” words should, of course, be “hurty” words.

These particular headlines are based on Graham Linehan saying a few “hurry” words on Twitter/X. The reality is that GL has been spewing out vitriolic (to say the very least) anti trans hate for years.
I was thinking exactly the same.
Our little tiny slither of the population continue to look on at a “debate” for which we have virtually no input.
Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.
Basically just judge the person not the label. Pretty simple really.

In reality my life probably won’t change; I’ll still be accepted. However, this judgement and how it’s being reported will ramp up anti trans rhetoric where the so called norm will be anti trans. Politicians will jump on board.
How less than 1% of the pop. can cause so much uproar is beyond me.
We just look on in astonishment at how our little, tiny slither of the population continues to cause so much angst. Personally, in the real world, I encounter very little hostility…it’s all about the person behind the label.
