Scottish European mum, granny, wife. Owned by a daft labrador. Love my beautiful wee country, and praying I see independance in my lifetime. Sitting on a beach with a fire, fine dram and the people I love is my happy place.π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώπ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώπ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ

Repost proudly if you have left X and joined Bluesky full time π¦
Yesterday I said goodbye, toodle-pip, farewell, au revoir, offski ye go to Twitter/X and Instagram/Threads.
All the fun went out of the former and I never got a handle on the latter, and as for their owners.......
Anyway maybe Bluesky is a place to be, for now, look after it!
At first they came for the children. Then they came for the pensioners. Now theyβre coming for the disabled. How long before they come for YOU?
Are you YES yet? π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώβπ»
Starmer is reforming the Lords by appointing 30 new peers. I never realised you could reform a bloated undemocratic & unelected legislature by bloating it even more with more undemocratic patronage. Every day is a school day, eh? We're a very long way from Labour will abolish the Lords.
The Labour Government will not pay WASPI women any compensation.
Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall said the proposed payments weren't 'fair or value for taxpayer money'.
What is not fair are the false promises made by Labour politicians, who have betrayed the WASPI women.
Jackie Baillie, deputy leader of Labour in Scotland posing with waspi women.
Anas Sarwar, leader of Labour in Scotland posing with waspi women.
Does this Labour Gov just really hate pensioners? After innumerable Labour photo ops with Waspi women, Labour has stabbed them in the back & refused compensation. Any comments Jackie Baillie & Anas Sarwar?

That looks delicious! Looks like a nice crispy crust, something I can't seem to master after several years baking bread!
This is what really upset me today. It was such a degrading scene. Just what those opposed to independence revel in. We wonβt get independence unless we become one voice - no other way. We get independence and then vote in the parties of our choice.
Starmer fans are saying "it's early days, give the man a break".
But you have to start as you mean to go on. Unless good housing/NHS/schools etc plans begin now, it'll be too late in 2029. Every signal we're getting is that he has no intention of launching them.
There are no breaks in politics.
I am right in thinking everyone wants to Rejoin the EU aren't I?
Like if you do
RP if you really do
Independence is normal.

BBC Scotland today linking heart attacks directly to Scot Gov rather than NHS in a way that research shows BBC Wales rarely does: talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2023/06/02/n...
Again, as BBC Scotland headline smoking and drinking deaths, more facts they won't be telling you about: talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2024/11/13/m...

Bluesky being an echo chamber would only be a problem if the posts here were the only media I ever read and if I never met or spoke to other people.
The only peoples views I'm missing out on are grifters and trolls, which I can live with.
Honey and natural yoghurt delicious π
In summing up
Captain Tom's daughter: naughty girl. Don't do it again
Regards Nicola Sturgeon: we're going to rip your floor boards up. Stick murder tents in your garden and keep this hanging over you until Scot Gov is gone & Anas Sarwar is crowned King.

So, the disgraced, philandering, former Tory Health Secretary says that Nicola Sturgeon caused 'all sorts of difficulty' during COVID. Perhaps she refused invites to parties? Or didn't agree with 'let the bodies pile high' or PPE being prioritised for England?

Some good points that merit a real discussion between all Indy groups. Time the SNP, and I'm a member, engaged in a conversation with the Scottish people.
I was just thinking about the stone hot water bottle that burnt your toes when you got into bed and froze them when you woke up in the morning!!!
