I’m building bedrijvenbestandopensource.nl (BOS).

An AI-powered business registry for the Dutch market πŸ‡³πŸ‡±.

BOS uncovers what businesses actually do with real data, maps, and insights.

Great for governments to keep oversight.

Now doing some PoC's with various local governments.

Having worked in Azure Devops most of my engineering career, getting all these green checkmarks in Github Actions for my deployment pipeline feels pretty awesome. 😎

If I stack one lasagna on top of another, is it still one lasagna?

Should junior engineers really learn how to write code by hand?

By the time the have become somewhat advanced in any programming language hand-coding is probably considered "old-school" and inefficient.

Superpowered my dev container in vscode with Claude Code and Codex built in the container on WSL. Just couldn't deal with the permission errors in wsl terminal anymore. #buildinpublic #founderjourney #ai

Building feels nice. Safe.
I can tweak the UI, refactor code, ship features. It’s satisfying.

Fingers crossed I don’t get bored with it until it’s time to sell. πŸ˜…

Pretty stoked right now! Just built email auth flow for my MicroSaaS using @supabase and @resend. Simple, fast, and super smooth for users. On to the next feature! πŸš€

Letting Cursor first generate a detailed task list, breaking each step into tasks worth exactly 1 story point, has transformed my workflow.

Turn yolo-mode (yes, this is a thing in Cursor settings) and sit back.

Something cool to try in Cursor:

Generate a Mermaid diagram of your project and save it as a Cursor rule or documentation.

Always have it as context.

Nick Craux hello i'm nick

If you’re using #CursorAi these are some useful tips.

(I’ve seen noticeable improvement in execution when you tell it to ask you questions before providing answers on more complex requests). #AI #webdev

Great tips!

I've had some great success with letting Cursor document a lot. For example, I'm letting it update a very detailed README constantly. Its better at keeping in mind the total scope of the project when adding new features.

Although we all take pride in writing good code, we'll have to see coding as a means to an end. We're not in the coding business anymore, we're in the product building business.

Before you start building a feature or whatever, let Cursor first write a very detailed tasklist in an .md file. Then let it go through each task one by one and execute.

Building my own RAG system has been eye-opening.

Turns out, abstraction libraries like LangChain and Llamaindex?

Not as essential as I once thought.
