Goes like this. You as a leader only deal with stuff when itβs on fire; you become a firefighter (which is exciting!), but you forgetβ¦ youβre job is to not let fires happen. Stop being excited and fix what might burn.

Low frustration tolerance
Well this year has had a few interesting moments and I've not blogged for a while so as the year comes to a close here is my year-end review:
www.liamjbennett.me/posts/2024-1...
Most of my writing these days is on my own site via #weeknotes and the occasional long-form blog post. I'm exploring POSSE but in this instance, it seemed appropriate to just post directly.
I look forward to interacting with you all once again, while this place is not a hellscape.
I've been lingering on BlueSky for a long time, before the first exodus from the other place and before this recent exodus however I've yet to post.
I'm finding this time is certainly making me feel like the early days of twitter and that is what is encouraging me to start posting more.
This kept me from using Bluesky for a long time. You can't change this on the default client, but I know that Skeets has a setting for loading new skeets above that should give you the behaviour your after. I'm really hoping this comes to more clients soon.
