Interesting perspectives on AI too - mostly remediation of impact
LOSS: what happens when you get exact answers for your query? Losing stumbling upon something else.

Guest Post — AI Fatigue and Vocational Awe in Academic Libraries - The Scholarly Kitchen
This is an excellent post that nails don something I’ve struggled to articulate: the main response I’ve been seeing with AI this day from librarians is sheer exhaustion. We’re either left out of the conversation but when we’re included, we’re not compensated for the extra work load.

Guest Post — The Value Challenge in Scholarly Publishing - The Scholarly Kitchen
New piece in @scholarlykitchen.bsky.social exploring the growing tension between academia and publishers. I examine both perspectives and argue that the trust gap can be bridged through stronger value creation and clearer communication of that value. #AcademicSky #ScientificPublishing

This is a must read, not only for those who are so often called upon to lead DEIA initiatives, but for those who have power who should be using it to lead.
