Tiny update on this - the *thing* is coming along nicely but I did get sidetracked with another *thing*. I'm back to working on the main *thing* again and want to roll it out by March.
To compensate for the fact that I don't fucking know what deadlines are, here is a cropped preview of the *thing*.

I dunno if it was Nintendo, TCPi or whoever that greenlit this idea but paying so much for 20+ year old roms is getting ridiculous. This extends to the Mario Galaxy ports as well and, to a lesser extent, BoTW which is now 70 dollars for Switch 2??? Like what is going on here.

Is 20 dollars a lot? No. Hell, if the game comes with the events and a functioning Altering Cave that would be pretty cool. I would not say that it's worth the price simply because of how easy one could play these games. For free.

I know the answer at the end of the day is "money" but it's baffling that FRLG are standalone 20 dollar ports rather than put on GBA online.

Like, you have arguably the most emulated games of all time and the thought process was "Let's make them even MORE unappealing to get legally"?

I tried Ibis and Krita and didn't like either of them lmao. If I were to do it I'd just jump right into CSP. I do like the friction the Apple Pencil gives me (I have a matte screen protector too). If I can do that with the Spen to avoid the glide that you mentioned that would help a lot.
