It's a framework created in 1994 by a group of Black women in Chicago that centers three core rights:

✅ The right to have a child
✅ The right not to have a child
✅ The right to raise a child in a safe, healthy environment

As we mark 40 years of CAF, we uplift movement builders like Sekile, whose legacies live on in the policies they shaped, the students they mentored, and the community care they modeled.

This month’s CAF Activist Spotlight honors Dr. Sekile M. Nzinga—former CAF board member and current VP for DEI at @saicpics. Her leadership helped shape the cultural and policy foundations of our work.

Yesterday marked one year since Iowa’s 6 week #abortion ban was implemented. The number of people who are accessing abortion care has stayed nearly the same. But, the barriers they are facing have skyrocketed 🫂
