There’s a great account on Instagram that analyzes the cinematography and art direction, and it’s impressive how much thought went into this. (I will also readily admit that I’m such a sucker for the chiseled jawlines that you could cut glass with.)
@jeffreyricker
#Queer writer of #YA and speculative fiction. Expect lots of Star Trek references. Failing to meet the demands of capitalism since 1969. Can I pet your dog? https://linktr.ee/rickerje and https://ko-fi.com/jeffreyricker

Same. Guess I’ve dodged that particular flavor of toxicity. I’m so enjoying this moment the show’s having, it’s practically a facet of my personality now. (I even got together w/a friend I haven’t seen in ages bc she saw all the HR posts I was liking and said, “We need to discuss over lunch!”)
Thank god I haven’t seen that discourse because it likely would have made me go into full flamethrower mode.
OK also, the Ambie-nominated Two Thousand and Late appeals to my own barely concealed inner rage demon and gets a thumbs-up from me.
It’s @bandcamp.com Friday, when Bandcamp waives their revenue share and passes it all on to the creators. This is a great time to pick up any of @atypicalartists.co's shows to have and keep, but may I suggest Look Up in particular? I listen to it at least once a year.
Yes! If you like Killjoys, read @stephengrahamking.com’s Soul’s Blood. Yes, it’s even queerer than Killjoys, and that’s saying something.
The Warrant is all!
Tired: Firefly.
Wired: Killjoys.
A treat for us all!
I *loved* this novel! What fantastic news.
We put so much emphasis on “NEW NOW GET IT NOW TOMORROW IS TOO LATE,” but a book has a life beyond the first weeks post-publication. Think of all the books you discover months or years after they were published. A steady drumbeat can do things an early crescendo only wishes it could.
TIME’S UP! Thank you so much for joining tonight’s #WeeknightWriters chat! If you're thinking about revising a novel - or already struggling to complete revisions - be sure to check out our upcoming virtual deep-dive, Writing Roundtables: Revising a Novel

I will say my hair *feels* great, but I seriously need a haircut though. I think it’ll be a reset.
😂😂😂
I don’t know why I’ve been sleeping on audiobooks! I love listening to fiction podcasts and this seems like a natural extension. #WeeknightWriters
Take a couple days off, probably. #WeeknightWriters
I’ve been discovering the joys of audiobooks and finished listening to When the World Tips Over by Jandy Nelson this week. #WeeknightWriters
Do you have a TARDIS? Because I could use more time. #WeeknightWriters
I love taking my own missteps and turning them into cautionary tales: “Don’t do what I did, kids!”
Bonkers writing is often the best writing!
On the bright side, I’m getting a haircut on Monday. #WeeknightWriters
You know that line in Steel Magnolias where Truvy tells M’lynn, “I don’t know how you’re doing on the inside, but your hair’s holding up beautifully”? Yeah, I can’t even say that about my hair. #WeeknightWriters
I think my husband may need one of these….
S.H.I.T.—So Happy It’s Thursday! I’m Jeff and my WIP is Kiss Me, Grumpy, a queer holiday romcom. This week? Best not to ask. #WeeknightWriters
