I know he's apparently made the "get a load of this guy" rounds once or thrice prior to getting Noem's job, but I hadn't really seen any video of him 'til last night.

I mean, at least Noem was (mostly) capable of articulating her reprehensible messaging. This new guy's a real rake-stepper.

Saw some video footage of Noem's replacement and, to go by the old cliché, if you put a character like this in a movie, people would think it was too much.

Anyway, I know there was a Mac version, so I'd like to find it again and download it for my current home computer. If anyone's got any clues, send 'em my way, please!

I do have a version of it on the old store PC, which I un-mothballed to see if I could 1) find the name, 2) find any info about its makers, and 3) figure out where I downloaded it from. Only succeeded in #1 -- there is NO info about the manufacturer, either in game or in a readme.txt file.

It's just this top-down game where you're moving through a maze that changes when those portions are off-screen. You have a limited number of moves, which you can increase by defeating monsters or finding doodads. Each step you make, the monsters make one step toward you (like the old Daleks game).

THE GOOD NEWS: I finally remembered the name of this little indie computer game I played some years ago, so now I can search it out again

THE BAD NEWS: It's called "Myst." Yes, the same as one of the MOST FAMOUS COMPUTER GAMES OF ALL TIME. Which, um, makes it hard to Google.

Not that I've seen from what's in their online catalog so far. But I have bought a handful of things from Diamond that I'm not getting from other places (like certain toys) so I guess I'll keep an account, even if I don't use it that often.

I have nearly 40 years' worth of terrible retail stories I've heard. This is one is up there with the big dick moves a store can pull.

I really do my best to run my store the opposite of all those stories I've accumulated.
