Called into #BintreeMill to look for the #BlackBelliedDipper late afternoon and luckily Richard Moores found it close to the white bridge #NorfolkBirding
Couldnβt resist another visit to see the #EasternBlackRedstart in #Sheringham today #NorfolkBirding

Turtle Dove
Another lovely day #NorfolkBirding with an unexpected #TurtleDove
I agree itβs a disaster for wildlife, all that work on positive net gain for nature on every development gone out of the window, people want nature on their doorstep. But I donβt read it that environmental NGOβs donβt stand to benefit, although I admit itβs more than a bit vague β¦
The obvious problem is that nature organisations stand to benefit from the bill and £££ to them speaks louder than those of us who enjoy nature on our doorstep
Itβs been a challenge to get a photo of one of our local #LittleOwls as they rarely come out in daylight. Just about enough light at 9.26pm last night to get a photo, so Iβm very happy π#NorthNorfolk #NorfolkBirding
Thank you, thatβs really helpful π
Thanks James thatβs what iNaturalist said too but my photo looks more like the Stag beetle in my Insect guide (Paul Brock) π€
Sorted, Iβve requested a square in an area I know reasonably well
I tried to log in to register a few days ago but I couldnβt get past the βprove youβre a humanβ test π Iβll try again β¦
Female stag beetle
Another exciting moment by the pond, a female #StagBeetle crawled out from under a rotting log, appeared to have a drink from the pond then returned to the log again #NorthNorfolk
So excited the camera picked up frog activity last noght in my new pond πΈπΈπ
Pool party! The new pond gives me hours of entertainment but unfortunately the dragonflies donβt get a look in #NorthNorfolk
Conservationists are warning of an increase in recent weeks of the nesting sites of endangered breeding waders, such as the curlew, being destroyed by dogs.
Mistle thrush
Always a joy to see a #MistleThrush from the bedroom window and they're quite regular visitors here but this one was so close I struggled to get it in the frame! Raiding the Amelanchier tree for ripened berries. Taken through closed window #NorfolkBirding
So thrilled with how successful my new wildlife pond is after just 3 1/2 months, itβs so popular with birds & starting to look like itβs always been there, I set up a wildlife camera this afternoon - I am of course hoping for some rarities π#NorthNorfolk
Wow π
