[From Wikipedia] Catbus (Japanese: ねこバス, Hepburn: Nekobasu) is a fictional character in the Studio Ghibli film My Neighbor Totoro, directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It is a large, grinning, twelve-legged cat with a large bushy tail and a hollow body that serves as a bus, with windows and seats covered with fur. Here we see Catbus with a manic expression on their face as they zoom out of the sky and across the landscape leaving behind a Catbus-colored (tan and brown striped) streaking trail of jagged letters reading ‘Maybe it will happen today’.

Voting is over in the quarter finals! Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Whisper of the Heart and Kiki's Delivery Service move on to the semi finals, beginning this Friday.

On the other hand, the filmmaking process for Princess Mononoke was long, expensive and tough. After the difficulty of the production, animation director Kondo Yoshifumi suddenly died in 1998 and Miyazaki retired and left Studio Ghibli entirely - only to return shortly afterwards. [12/12]

It did well overseas too, as the first Ghibli film dubbed by Disney (through Miramax) under their deal with Ghibli's parent company. Remembering the debacle of the "Warriors of the Wind" Nausicaä dub, this was when Suzuki allegedly sent a sword to Harvey Weinstein with the note "no cuts". [11/12]

Princess Mononoke was a huge success upon its release, raising the studio's profile even further. For a short time, it was the highest-grossing film ever in Japan, and it became the first animated film to win the Japan Academy Film Prize for Best Work. [10/12]

This darker tone has been partly attributed to Miyazaki's interest in the 13th-century text Hojoki (方丈記). The idea of nature fighting back also resembles Takahata Isao's then-newest film Pom Poko (平成狸合戦ぽんぽこ), which had itself begun as a planned adaptation of classical literature. [9/12]

Not for the first time in Studio Ghibli's history, environmentalism is an important theme in Princess Mononoke. But while the spirits in Miyazaki's earlier film My Neighbour Totoro (となりのトトロ) are benevolent, he depicted nature in conflict with humans this time. [8/12]
