TUE & WED⛈️ The chance for storms Tuesday night is relatively low, but IF they develop... They could bring a damaging wind, hail and even low end tornado risk.
Then into Wednesday morning and midday, rain and storms become more widespread with some low end severe risk then as well. #ARwx

UPDATE - Since the cap has yet to break over western and NW Ark, it appears our main round of storms may come through a bit later--perhaps after midnight or closer to 2 or 3.
So the tornado and large hail risk has been lowered. The threat isn't zero, but it's at least lower than it once was. #ARwx

Great shot of a towering thunderhead seen from East Camden this evening... This storm has remained non-severe because there is a capping inversion aloft that is preventing explosive growth.

LATE FRIDAY⛈️ A few supercell storms are expected to develop late this afternoon/early eve across east OK & west AR, perhaps capable of producing golf ball size hail & tornadoes.
As storms move E, they become more of a damaging wind risk. The wind risk continues into Saturday as well. #ARwx

STORM TIMING⛈️ Here's a closer look at timing for this Friday night and Saturday's storms.
The strongest storms will likely be the isolated storms that first fire up in western and NW Ark. Fri. night. But even when they evolve into a line of storms overnight, there may still be a tornado risk. #ARwx
