I always get like this in winter, since moving to rural Illinois. I'll feel much better after a few weeks of spring!
Honestly, I think being miserable for months at a time every year probably isn't sustainable. I think I'm gonna spend this year working toward changing my living situation.
Nothing was more damaging to my Christian faith than reading the Bible cover to cover, and realizing how very-obviously-contradictory everything in the Bible is with itself and with real life.
honestly, reading theological texts solidified my atheism growing up, and then i became a communist while studying capitalist theory at an engineering university.
Still struggling to feel sociable, and mostly failing.
Otherwise-cute critters acting or looking like weird little gremlins is one of my favorite types of picture. XD

So essentially, under capitalism, ALL of us are ALWAYS involuntarily participating in a continuous election process that most people are only vaguely aware of, and where most people don't know anything (often not even the name) about the people they're casting dollar votes for.
From time to time, I consider that money in large amounts equals power. More power than what elected officials have.
And yet, when you buy a product you aren't consciously thinking, "I want the owner to have more power. I'm casting votes for him." You're just buying something you want/need.
Gee I'm starting to think the "pro life" "think of the children" folks do not in fact, give one single squirt of piss about children.

The weather is super nice today!
Unfortunately, my body reacts to unseasonably warm weather with inflammation and tiredness. And I'm stuck inside at work. And there are extra customers.
All the downsides of good weather, and none of the benefits. Lame...
What I've learned so far in 2026:
Burnout recovery takes 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙨.
Take on what was the usual workload? F you, have a migraine.
Work out like you used to? Yawn throughout the entire thing and be exhausted the next day.
Simple tasks and even playing videogames now require 𝖘𝖊𝖗𝖎𝖔𝖚𝖘 𝖈𝖔𝖓𝖈𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖗𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓.

Finding myself entering the flow state more and more lately, which is wonderful. I found some of it in rehearsals, talks with friends and even a little bit of work as of recently.
The flow state: where time warps, actions feel effortless and the ego begins to fade.
I joked about this word a few too many times so of course it comes back to bite me.
My phone just autocorrected “gummies” to “cummies” when talking about edibles with a friend.
Oh, no! I hope today isn't too rough from lack of sleep, and i hope tonight goes better.
This kind of invalidation of papers after appealing to the legitimacy of "papers please" is literally what all genocidal fascist regimes have done to their victims. This action seeks to either make sure that the victims have no id at all or have one that marks them as an acceptable target.
