Saw your post about the Portuguese egg tart. They are called pastel de nata and on a visit they put 15 pounds on me. Now that I live here (Azores) I've found so many pastries. The Portuguese can BAKE. If you visit the Azores say hello. I hang out at a cafe named Azores Forever.

I will say this though - major storms (like this hurricane) tend to hit the central group harder than they hit São Miguel

Sorry for the delay I am not on Bluesky every day. We are on São Miguel and in Ponta Delgada. We came here because I was told people who live here never have to leave it but someone who lives on Terceira might have to come here. Bigger hospitals and stuff like that. But Terceira is decent.

Would anyone care to share their experience when they turned a book into an audiobook? I am finding few people telling the story of how they made it work - "I did this first" and so on.

I am curious what people think goes into making a good romantasy book work. Is the romance more important than the fantasy? Do you like seeing them together in the end or is it better if the relationship is sacrificed to a larger goal?

I write too. I try to read like I would want to be read. Right now I am trying to do more short stories so I try to read as many as I can. I learned a few things from you so - thank you

You managed a kind of horror story plus telling me how a character felt inside. And it was all with just the right touch.

#writers A novel by William Carlos Williams was on sale for 1.99 US. It was presented as an experiment. rated 3 stars. The first review said "Have you ever talked to a drunk in a bar?Then you don't need to read this book." Burn. And maybe he shpuld have stayed in his lane.

Lots of good information here. I will think about it but I am worried that getting one here (Azores Islands) might be difficult or expensive - but I checked and I can get one through Amazon Spain. My main reason for no is that I now brainstorm outside and write inside so will I really use it?
