As you enter the court you see a large picture of Gandhi with the iconic quote. I couldn’t help myself … turned to the court official, a Deputy Registrar, and said “you know, Gandhi never said that?” This is true … he didn’t. It was in a biography about him, he never said it.

Tue entrance to the supreme court lined with lawyers in black robes, an immaculate lawn, and the dome leading one in Tue background.

Me standing in the four story atrium, behind me is a huge page of the preamble to the constitution, lady justice, and the Indian national symbol (the four headed lions).

The four floors of books open up onto the massive atrium and the sun streams in from above.

Had a spectacular visit to the Supreme Court last week. Got VIP treatment through security, spent two hours with the Chief Librarian and a Deputy Registrar.
