The conference had a robust presentation program & so I won’t attempt to recreate each briefing
Instead I’ll touch on the themes that wove their way throughout the day & then leave you with some food for thought

Hurray! I am so excited! As part of my year of reading, your 2024 article is now at the top of the list (I've read, but need real notes). This is my new top of the list.
Everyone, seriously, interested in these things should absolutely read this @vinicius-marino.bsky.social -- he's brilliant!

The first B-17C missions in North Africa
Background No. 90 Squadron R.A.F.’s B-17C Fortress experiment in the desert is an odd story, and below is a bit more history on this, including the initial exchanges that led to the dispatch of the…
On 9/3/42 the last two B-17 Fortress I bombers of No. 220 Sqn Detachment that remained active in the Middle East undertook their last raid in the theatre. They were then transferred to India and in September handed back to the USAAF, without having seen further action.

If we're to do the "Battle of the Five Armies" for "Midgard: Heroic Battles" as we intend, we must prepare to EMBIGGLE. This is one of the base scenarios with the STs now set at 10''. Elves vs. Dwarves. Ancient rivalry. @armchairdragoons.bsky.social @mogsymakes.bsky.social

Stellar Rats Recon - Part 3
Quote
Enlarging the coverage on the surface carries a lot of risks. One of them being the less defended areas.

So roughly 40mm across each hex vertex to vertex, for 26 cm wide, I'm assuming.
That's okay for 1/700 roughly.
Thanks. Will keep an eye out.

Very nice. Plus certainly will help with storage and modular as needed.

First Consul Napoleon Bonaparte.
A long way but the Treaty at Campo Formio surely sparked the coup.
Did not embark for the Egypt campaign due to already being in Paris ready for the 18 Brumaire.
Mademoiselle became Madame Bonaparte very early.

Detail of engraving, for more see here: http://www.dominicfontana.co.uk/dominic/maryrose/
Those are 1cm squares. I'm trying out larger flats.
Am developing a test scenario inspired by the middle bit of the Cowdray engraving, so I have had to make a Mary Rose.

Well, I could only go for one day. But Hispabellum, the Sevilla's wargame convention, has, I think, a long future aheAd. It was sold out in 48 hours, well connected city, and a strong local wargame community. Spanish wargaming community has never had so many conventions in their calendar 1/2

Hey friends, it's been so long & I'm sort of flitting about intellectually post book. Anyone want to do me a solid & ask me anything about historical games? The usual - outside of ed or in ed, design or play, historical approach? You know I'll do my best for a thoughtful answer. Whaddya say?
