If you can, take a minute to reach out to the caregivers in your lives because they can often feel under appreciated and even invisible.
Caregiving changed my life: how I understand myself, what I value, how I want to be in the world, how I want to show up for people. We will all give and need care at points in our lives. Itβs the most fundamental form of human connection.
Today is National Caregivers Day and Iβm thinking of all the paid and unpaid caregivers who make our society function. Being a family caregiver for my sick and disabled loved one was the hardest and most human thing Iβve ever done.
