HRM has a hard time keeping drivers from not going where they aren't supposed to go. From the Spring Garden Rd. bus/bike only pilot, to the diverter on Allen St. In the name of allowing emergency vehicles through. There are streets they can use and they seem to manage with dead end streets so?

“It’s still not clear about where Canada stands on the fundamental issue of the rule of law, which says aggression is an international crime,” (Lloyd) Axworthy told CTV on Monday. “I think that we should be much clearer and more forthright to say where we stand [on] that.”

I’m so grateful for the Halifax Examiner and all the reporters and the excellent reporting.
I don’t know if I would be as informed on local issues without it.
So yeah, the caregivers issue is huge. Great article again.

Love seeing the Halifax arts community show up loud today in protest of the Nova Scotia budget cuts. Hope to see some pressure on Tim Houston before the Wavemakers: Music Futures conference in a couple of weeks.

You gotta unplug sometimes. I remember in 1993 I spent 6 months hitchhiking Canada, camping, living on the beach, protesting old growth logging - when I got home to Halifax I went to a movie, Unforgiven, with Clint Eastwood - I walked out 15 minutes in. I had become un-numb.
